History

A unique signature Margarita created at the Hilton Cancun Golf & Spa Resort. Its name comes from the word "i'c" which means chili pepper in Mayan. When mixing an I'C MARGARITA, we combine the locally grown "chili habanero", one of the hottest chili peppers in Mexico, with an organic agave nectar that softens the spiciness of the chili and enhance the flavor of the tequila.

Ingredients
  • 1 habanero chili
  • 1 1/2 oz white tequila
  • 1 oz triple sec
  • 3 oz agave nectar
  • 2 1/2 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
Directions

Cut the habanero chili in two, finely chop half of it and marinate in the lime juice Put the marinated lime juice in a blender along with all other ingredients. Add enough ice and blend until you get a thick frozen margarita. Rim a margarita glass with salt and decorate with the other half of the chili pepper.
