History

Creating a signature cocktail for Tundra Restaurant was no easy task: how does one incorporate the concept of treeless plains, permanently frozen soil and stark landscape into something palatable? Since the term “tundra” comes from Russian … and since "vodka" means little water, what better to represent Tundra than a vodka-inspired cocktail.

Icewine is another essential ingredient for this drink -- its intense, sweet and sumptuous, the origin is Canadian and thus it was a perfect match to the coolness of the vodka. However, another element was needed to perfect this Canadian creation: Chambord – a liquor crafted from the world's finest raspberries and blackberries (both native to Canada), as well as Madagascar vanilla, Moroccan citrus peel, honey and cognac.

From there, The Tundratini was born -- a delicious, irresistible blend of vodka, Canadian Icewine and Chambord that truly represents Canada and our cultural and culinary diversity.
